A local school in the Cathays area of Cardiff is looking for invigilators to cover Welsh Oral exams for the following date:
Attendance is imperative, as without enough invigilators, exams will have to be cancelled. Please only apply if you are certain you will be available for the full shift.
Invigilators will need to ensure:
1. Examinations are conducted according to the JCQ regulations
2. The wellbeing of the students in the examination room
3. The safe and secure delivery of the exams
This work will involve:
* The general supervision of candidates to ensure no malpractice during the examination period
* Ensuring mobile phones, iPods, earphones etc. are handed in before the start of the examination
* Any other duties that may be required by the Senior Exams Invigilator during the period of the exam being supervised
Person Specification
* Mature and calm nature
* Experience working/volunteering with students/young people
* Enhanced DBS Check
* Previous experience working/volunteering in a school setting
Previous invigilation experience is preferred but not essential. Training videos will be provided prior to start date.

2. Include details of any relevant previous experience, particularly if you have invigilated before or worked within a High School setting. If you have worked at this school before and already received training, please mention this in your application.
3. State if you would be happy to be added to a pool of reserve invigilators to cover last-minute cancellations.
Note – This is an inner-city high school. There is very little parking available on the school site and none in the school overflow carpark.
