Why we're hiring:
WPP is on a global transformation journey, and this is an opportunity for an Interim Treasury Systems Manager to join the team for a period of three months and support the ongoing transformation and standardisation of the Treasury Front office.
What you'll be doing:
WPP are looking for an experienced Systems Manager with Treasury Management experience specifically in the ION product, IT2, and manage the transformation change tasks necessary to manage group cash, risk management and reporting from within IT2.
This role involves a variety of components ranging from static data validation and maintenance, configuration of cash management and reporting tasks as well as connectivity to third-party systems such as Swift, Bloomberg and FX trade platform.
In addition, development and implementation of outstanding TMS configuration in ensuring reporting and compliance with WPP Group Treasury Policy.
With 112 countries, cash pooling in 35 markets including ZBA and notional pooling structures, the Treasury Systems Manager will be supporting the on-boarding of more banks to IT2 and the requirements around making this happen.
This role would suit someone with extensive TMS implementation experience in a comparable international treasury environment, an expert and specific interest in automation and efficiency of process, with controls and standardisation at the heart of such TMS design.
The role requires regular interaction with Regional Treasurers, and their respective teams in UK, EMEA, USA, LATAM and APAC, leveraging knowledge in ways of working with a centre of excellence lens to enhance current processes and optimise efficiency.
Who you'll be working with:
You will report into the Group Treasurer and work alongside Regional Treasury Managers globally to optimise and drive the Treasury goals.
Key responsibilities are:
1. Static data cleanse with design and build capabilities
2. Treasury bank balance and transaction reporting
3. Daily cash management and forecasting parameters
4. MM/ FX - risk management reporting and compliance with policy
5. Financial instruments configuration for an expanding policy
6. Broader systems landscape and treasury technology
What you will need:
1. Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing treasury systems
2. Proficiency in IT2 and/or strong knowledge of ION products, or similar treasury technologies e.g. SWIFT/ Finastra connectivity
3. Experience in Corporate Treasury role favourable
4. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification preferred)
