Company Siemens Energy Limited Organization Transformation of Industry Business Unit Electrification - Automation - Digitalization Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Not defined Job Description: Technical Bid Manager A Snapshot of Your Day As a Technical Bid Manager at Siemens Energy, you will play a crucial role in delivering competitive offerings to our clients. You will collaborate with colleagues across the globe and the organization, working closely with account and sales managers to set bid strategies and discuss priorities and actions. Your responsibilities will include overseeing projects from concept phase to execution, liaising with engineers, project managers, and other bid managers. You will also be involved in organizing kick-off meetings for new projects and conducting technical verifications for bids. Additionally, you will gather information and explain bid strategies to management when bids are due for submission. How You'll Make an Impact As a Technical Bid Manager, you have the opportunity to be a change agent for industrial decarbonization and contribute to the energy transition from fossil fuels to renewable sources. You will apply and obtain knowledge in electrification and energy storage systems, such as Batteries, H2, Power to X, and CAES. Your experience in industrial automation and digitalization will help innovate energy production and distribution. By integrating human and business interests, you will contribute to sustainable project goals while promoting environmental sustainability and economic stability. What You Bring To excel as a bid manager, you should have a technical background and possess strong personal skills with a good commercial drive. We value the following qualities: - Broad commercial and contractual understanding to successfully interact with customers, management/colleagues, and external stakeholders. - Proactive, collaborative, analytical thinking, decision-making, result-oriented, and good communication skills. - Flexibility, creativity, and an open-minded view. You are resourceful in finding alternative solutions when faced with challenges. - Accurate and detail-oriented. You ensure that all aspects of projects are done correctly, especially in complex and high-risk situations. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or combined Business and Engineering. - Project management experience and familiarity with managing large industrial projects. - Knowledge/experience in large drives, rotating equipment such as Turbines, MV switchgear will be an asset. - Very good command of English, both written and spoken. While our focus is on UK clients, we collaborate with global teams in Serbia, Brazil, India, and Singapore. You will have access to the support you need from these teams, depending on the situation.
