About the role Housing Services are going through a period of significant transformation driven by a new Council Corporate strategy, an ambitious Change Programme, and the need to comply with newly adopted Housing Regulations and Consumer Standards. This transformation aims to enhance service efficiency, improve customer engagement, and ensure compliance with evolving regulatory requirements. As part of our Business Development and Change Team, you will be able to use your skills and experience relating to data analysis, SQL databases, and process transformation to support a range of Housing Services teams in delivering exceptional and innovative services to both Council colleagues and our customers, including self-service. By establishing data-driven insights and process optimisation, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our services remain efficient, compliant and customer-focused. We are looking for someone to develop themselves into a service area expert on the department’s principal ICT systems (mainly MIS ActiveH) and its associated processes. The role requires a proactive approach to system enhancement, troubleshooting and streamlining processes and workflows to maximise the benefits of digital transformation. It is essential that you either have experience in SQL report writing or possess the analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills necessary to become proficient as a database specialist, Business Intelligence report writer and workflow process implementer. Your ability to translate raw data into meaningful reports will support evidence-based decision-making, while optimising system and database functionality will be key to driving high-quality service outcomes. You will support a wide range of Housing teams and processes, including Landlord Operations such as tenancy management, income recovery, and enforcement; Housing Needs functions relating to housing register and homelessness procedures; and Asset Management matters, including building safety and compliance, among many others. You will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including frontline housing teams, service managers, ICT colleagues and external partners. Therefore, you will be someone with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to explain complex data in ways that are adapted to and understandable by the target audience. The intention is for the postholder to work predominately from home however, it is a requirement to attend our offices or sites within Warwick District as required.
