I am working with a client who has an exciting opportunity for an M&E Technician (Mechanical) to join their Facilities Management team based at a well-known hospital in Oxford. This is a permanent full-time position working from 08:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday.
The role:
1. To apply trade skills and experience to any allocated jobs as directed by the Supervisor or Manager.
2. To work alone with minimum supervision or within a team to carry out maintenance/repair or mechanical services as well as refurbishments and new works to plant and equipment across the site.
3. To integrate and communicate effectively with other trade staff such as engineers, particularly for mechanical maintenance, new and remedial works.
4. To carry out mechanical repairs and cleaning of mechanical components and equipment.
5. To respond promptly and efficiently to plant breakdowns.
About you:
Essential:
1. Must hold a recognised advanced mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant Mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience.
2. Excellent interpersonal skills.
3. Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
4. IT literate, with ambition for personal development.
Desirable:
1. Healthcare experience.
2. Experience of engineering in various service streams.
3. HVAC training undertaken.
4. MGPS experience.
