The warehouse operative (Merchandising) plays a critical role in supporting the merchandising team by ensuring that products are efficiently received, stored and distributed in line with the company standards. The role involves working Monday to Friday (day time) maintaining accurate stock levels, preparing merchandising for distribution to customers. The role will work as part of a team and be responsible for dealing with all goods and products that come into the warehouse, taking delivery of goods and supplies, picking goods for dispatch, picking and packing orders and keeping all stock records and other relevant systems up to date. You will also maintain a clean, tidy and safe environment. ________________________________________________________________________________________ Principal Contacts Internal: Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Colleagues, Sales & Finance Team External: Suppliers, Distributors, Drivers __________________________________________________________________________________________ Key Responsibilities & Duties Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Have an understanding and experience of electronic back-office systems (not necessarily our current systems) for pick, pack and ship functions. Swing tag and barcode clothing and other merchandise Stock checks, counting stock against imprint quantities. Accurately pick orders against sales sheets Receive goods in through electronic systems - Imprint Prioritise and prepare paperwork and goods for dispatch through Imprint Deal with all our relevant distribution channels. Have the relevant H&S qualifications for machinery operation. Manage accurate inventory records through Imprint Function as a logical coordinator for all departments of the business to manage expectations and commitments. To flexibly carry out any other duties that are within the employee’s skill and ability levels whenever reasonably instructed to do so.
