What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Patient Care: Work alongside the Consultant Psychiatrist to provide medical cover and care for up to 28 patients on the ward.
2. Assessments & Diagnosis: Conduct thorough mental and physical health assessments, diagnose, and provide treatment under Consultant supervision.
3. Therapeutic Environment: Take clinical responsibility for patients, participate in ward rounds, risk reviews, and contribute to the development of a therapeutic care environment.
4. Ongoing Development: Maintain and enhance your skills through CPD, clinical supervision, and opportunities for professional growth.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Essential:
2. Full GMC registration and 12 months’ adult psychiatry experience.
3. Experience in a similar setting (preferred).
4. Excellent knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
5. Ability to assess, treat, and write clear, comprehensive medical notes.
6. Strong communication and teamwork skills.

8. Section 12 approval and membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent.
