We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is capable of working as part of our friendly team. The position involves working closely with the Pharmacy Technicians to assist in the dispensing and supply of medicines for Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. In addition to this the successful candidate will work in the Pharmacy led Anticoagulant Clinic taking and testing blood samples.
Please note this post is subject to a probationary period of 6 months.
Main duties of the job
Key elements of the role are:
1. To assist in the dispensing and supply of medicines for Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
2. To carry out and report on routine finger prick blood tests for patients attending the Pharmacy led Anticoagulant Clinic.
3. To act as receptionist in the Pharmacy led Anticoagulant Clinic and pharmacy reception when required.
Candidates must have significant experience of providing Pharmacy Support Services and must hold a Level 2 NVQ in Pharmacy Services or be prepared to work towards it.
This post would be ideal for those working in community pharmacy and wanting to take a step into working within secondary care.
