Reporting into the Ware Manufacturing site's Digital Lead, you will manage a team of (circa 3 or 4) Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Specialists as they manage and maintain the Ware site's MES system (which includes the sites' electronic batch records) to support business continuity and delivery of the company's 'Digital and Smart Manufacturing' ambition. This role is aligned to the site's Oral and Solid Dose (OSD) manufacturing lines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Working closely with Production, Quality, and Tech representatives to plan, prioritise, and manage updates to eBR designs due to process changes (e.g., Audit/CAPA actions/User feedback).
2. Support MES Specialists on deployment of annual upgrades to gain new features/functionality.
3. Build relationships with each function to establish a robust communication process for effective delivery of requests.
4. Manage DEs which cite eBR as contributory cause or solution and attend CAPA selection sessions to support robust CAPA.
5. Provide clear and effective communication on time frame for requested change and ensure that the business benefits are understood and communicated.
6. Be the point of contact for user support and technical issues, supporting GSK Tech on root causing/troubleshooting.
7. Setup and facilitate a change forum to work with the Production System (GPS) across Production, Technical, Quality, and Site IT.
8. Be the advisor/Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Business As Usual (BAU), projects, and Smart Manufacturing initiatives.
On-Standby Allowance: These positions are aligned to the working week (e.g., 7.5 hours a day, Monday to Friday). However, occasional flexibility over the weekend (via call-out rota) is required. A Standby Allowance is paid for this flexibility.

Basic Qualifications:
1. Relevant education/knowledge (e.g., technical understanding, advanced problem solving).
2. Computer Science or IT.
3. Experience in Pharma Manufacturing environment, Med-tech/Biotech.
4. Lean six sigma trained or certified DMAIC.
Preferred Experience:
1. Strong experience of working with digital solutions in a GxP environment.
2. Strong stakeholder management and team management skills.
3. Experience in Management of Electronic Batch Record system.
4. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
5. Extensive coordination, planning, and organisation skills.
6. Experience of deploying AspenTech System - eBR/ePEL or similar.
7. Effective communication skills to partner with Business.
