Your new role
* Preparation and delivery of regular key market intelligence reporting, including competitor analysis, consumer behaviour and product development.
* Undertake ad-hoc analysis of the automotive industry, including product innovation, local and global market trends, client segments and the competitive landscape (market and regulatory) to support the business development function decision-making.
* Develop a market intelligence capability that aims to support regional managers with insight that enhances understanding of market dynamics and trends to win new clients and retain existing business.
* Monitor market sales performance to support the ongoing tracking and evaluation of strategic objectives and sales channels. Develop new reporting to show the effectiveness of actions.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including Data Science, Client experience and Brand, to analyse business operations and identify new sales opportunities.
* Ability to advise on strategic industry partnerships.
* Attend insight conferences and industry events to extract key insights and develop actionable outputs.
* Standardising, simplifying, and documenting company processes, tools and workflows in the Business Development function in line with industry best-practice.
What you'll need to succeed
* Ideally, a University degree in a relevant field, such as Business, Economics, or Data Analytics (not essential).
* Professional experience in the field of market research, data analysis, or business intelligence.
* Experience in an insight analyst role.
* Proven experience in producing insights that influence strategic decisions.
* Proficiency in modelling multiple data sources to analyse complex problems.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and influential communication, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for non-experts.
* Financially astute, with the ability to understand and influence the commercial drivers which have a positive impact on P&L.
* Strong proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint, in-depth understanding of analytic tools such as Power BI, Tableau and proficiency in Salesforce reporting and analytics.
* Strong time management and prioritisation skills to navigate conflicting priorities and tight deadlines.
