Band 6 Physiotherapist – Neurorehabilitation
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated neuro physiotherapist to join the Community Neurological Conditions Management Team (CNCMT) on a fixed term contract. This post is based at the Neurological Rehabilitation Centre (NRC), Edgware, which is part of the Royal Free Hampstead NHS London Trust. The CNCMT provides a range of community and outpatient assessment and intervention to adults with neurological conditions (excluding Stroke and Parkinson's disease) in the north London borough of Barnet. This position presents an excellent opportunity to further develop your clinical skills with Neuro rehab and Complex Condition Management. You will also be joining a dynamic multidisciplinary team, taking an active part in project work and service development activities within the neuro physiotherapy and NRC teams. You will work with another B6 physio and be supported by a B7 within a team and 8a physio lead. You will be an enthusiastic practitioner with excellent communication skills, the ability to work well in a team, and an interest in the training and supervision of staff and the development of the service. Main duties of the job
* To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner whilst facilitating effective multidisciplinary care within all relevant clinical areas.
* To work in an integrated therapy team including other physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dieticians, speech and language therapists, therapy support workers, and administration support.
* To provide an advanced standard of physiotherapy assessment and treatment to inpatients without direct supervision. Access to advice and support from a team lead is available as and when required.
* To work with patient's families or carers to provide an advanced level of support, education, and expectation of the outcome of the inpatient stay.
* To supervise, teach and appraise therapy support workers.
* To participate in Continuing Professional Development, evidence-based audit, and research projects that will enhance the service.
* Post is Monday to Friday am with no weekend cover.

* HCPC Registration
* Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy
Experience
* Experience in a broad rotational post, including core rotations of Cardio-Respiratory, Orthopaedics, Neurology & Rehabilitation
* Experience in a Neurology rotation at Band 5 or 6 level
Skills
* Able to make decisions in an emergency and work under pressure.
* Able to document information accurately.
* Able to demonstrate sound reasoning skills.
* Effective Communication Skills.
* Ability to participate in weekend and bank-holiday rota.
* Evidence of teaching and supervision skills.

* Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio.
