We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Victorian operations from our Head Office in Kilsyth, VIC. As a leader in the industry, we take pride in offering first-class service to our clients, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely transportation of specialised freight every time.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the State Manager (VIC), the Operations Manager will be at the helm of our Victorian operations. Your role will be crucial in managing people, productivity, quality control, and safety measures across the business. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the operations team to deliver seamless services to our major clients
* Implementing and overseeing safety, compliance, and operational best practices
* Managing key client relationships to enhance service levels and overall customer satisfaction
* Taking charge of budgets, cost control, and forecasting for our Victorian operations
* Ensuring rigorous quality assurance processes are followed and driving continuous improvement across operations
Key Skills and Experience
* Proven ability to drive service improvements and build strong client relationships
* Solid understanding of workplace legislation, including OH&S, CoR, and company policies
* Strong financial skills in budgeting and forecasting
* A customer-first mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Leadership skills with a focus on fostering a high-performing, positive team culture
* Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities effectively
* Analytical thinking and problem-solving expertise
* Familiarity with NHVR regulations and experience in risk management, negotiation, and project management
* High attention to detail, self-motivated, and proactive
