Job Overview:
Clinical trials drive medical advances, including precision medicine. You will work with histopathology, immunohistochemistry, and fluorescent in-situ hybridisation for diagnostic and biomarker assessment.
This role offers a unique opportunity to improve quality of life for patients with acute and debilitating life-threatening conditions.
The post consists of 10 Programmed Activities, with an initial appointment of 9 DCC and 1 SPA. There is no on-call commitment.
No surgical cut-up / trimming, gynae cytopathology, or autopsy work is required.
You will support laboratories' day-to-day operations to deliver sponsor requests and studies, overseeing technical processes and procedures impacting pathology interpretations.
Timely reports will be released into LIMS for sponsor and/or clinical site action.
Requirements:
* Medical Degree (Doctor of Medicine, or foreign equivalent)
* Full Registration with a Licence to Practise from the General Medical Council
* Fellowship of The Royal College of Pathologists (or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 years' experience of independent reporting practice
