Axcis Education is collaborating with a reputable primary school in Bath to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant. This full-time role involves providing 1:1 support to primary-aged children with autism, commencing as soon as possible. Following an initial settling-in period, the position offers the potential for a permanent contract.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Individualised Support: Work closely with students diagnosed with autism, tailoring support to their unique needs to enhance their learning experience.
2. Collaborative Planning: Assist class teachers and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) in developing and implementing personalised learning plans.
3. Progress Monitoring: Observe and document student progress, providing regular feedback to the educational team and parents.
4. Inclusive Environment: Promote a supportive and inclusive atmosphere, ensuring all students feel valued and engaged.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Experience: Previous experience working with children with autism or special educational needs in a school setting is desired but not essential.
2. Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support are desirable.
3. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
4. Attributes: Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s development.
Daily Rate: £83.40 per day.
