We have a position available in our Telford Service Centre for an experienced Calibration Engineer. This will involve Calibration/validation/Repair of electrical / electronic test instruments and mechanical torque tools to maintain functionality and accuracy.
Responsibilities
* Calibration/validation/repair of electrical / electronic test instruments and mechanical torque tools to maintain functionality and accuracy.
* Both Keysight and non-Keysight products are serviced. Work is performed at the Telford Service Centre.
* Performing routine tasks, using prescribed procedures and technical duties that may require use of judgment.
* Solving a broad range of technical problems of varying scope and complexity.
* Understand customers’ requirements through face to face and written communication.
* Travel to customer sites <25% performing calibrations (On-site).
You will be working in a team of experienced technicians and will be responsible for all steps in calibration and training will be given where required.
Qualifications
* Education and technical knowledge within sector and role.
* Certifications as an electronic/electrical technician (HNC/HND/Level 4 NVQ).
* Relevant experience in calibration.
* IT knowledge (Windows, Office).
* Good communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
* Confident at answering customer questions.
* Ability to recognize and anticipate problems and search proactively for solutions.
* Ability to work independently and proactive attitude.
* Able to obtain UK security clearance.
