*Role responsibilities*
The main purpose of the role is to ensure the processing of all payroll information, ensuring the accurate and timely payment of wages/salaries to all employees in Transport for Wales (TfW) whilst maintaining strict compliance with statutory and internal requirements. The processing, reconciliation and reporting of pensions is also a key part of the role.
* Provide a payroll service to all employees throughout TfW through processing weekly, 4 weekly and monthly payroll by means of all associated tasks including; checking data, processing timesheet data, salary sacrifice scheme, statutory payments, reconciliation of payroll files to costing files; creation and balancing of the BACS and submission of files to HRMC and pension via various interfaces, to ensure the consistent service of the payroll department.
* Provide administration of all pension activity by; processing and checking of data, reconciliation of payments periodically and submission of reports to the pension provider, to mitigate risk and ensure consistent services of the payroll department.
* Undertake periodic audits on pension data and manage the pension scheme year end activities through utilising systems to ensure data is accurate and relevant.
* Work closely with the finance team on providing the relevant pension data through regular collaboration to ensure figures are up to date to provide accurate information to the business.
*Who we’re looking for*
* CIPP qualified or equivalent/working towards a payroll qualification.
* Good knowledge and understanding of all payroll related legislation.
* Experience of working in a busy payroll team with complex terms and conditions of employment.
* Experience of administering pension schemes.
*Welsh Language Skills*
The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
