Lead and manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes Develop and implement financial strategies that align with our business goals Ensure strict compliance with financial regulations and standards Coordinate the preparation of accurate financial reports and statements Collaborate with various departments to drive financial performance and efficiency Find opportunities for cost savings and revenue improvement Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making Mentor and develop a team of finance professionals Day to day this will cover areas such as: Management and Financial Accounts/Reporting : Produce monthly accounts packs with analysis and commentary on P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash flow. Control and report CAPEX spend. Ensure application and improvement of processes, procedures, and controls, including internal controls reporting and documentation. Prepare, review, and promptly address issues in Balance Sheet reconciliations. Statutory Reporting : Produce Group consolidated and individual statutory accounts, draft press releases, presentation materials, Annual Report, and Audit Committee papers. Act as lead contact for external auditors and manage half-year and year-end planning and audits. Review and analyse accounting regulation changes, prepare technical papers to propose and support accounting treatments. Treasury : Maintain and create detailed cash flow forecasting, aligned with quarterly re-forecasting. Report and manage cash balances, recommend mitigating actions, monitor loan drawdown/repayment, and bank covenants. Taxes : Prepare, check and deliver corporate and deferred tax calculations for statutory reporting. Ensure accurate and timely returns and payments for corporate tax and VAT. Maintain and develop in-house expertise through training sessions and materials. Budgeting and Forecasting : Assist the OPEX & Headcount Manager and Commercial Finance teams in producing annual budgets and rolling forecasts. Projects/Systems : Collaborate with the Systems team to develop Anaplan/Tableau and Workday functionality, moving away from Excel-based inputs/outputs while improving the control environment. Play a key role in Workday integrations, managing projects, liaising with different teams, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. What are we looking for? Accounting Qualification : Encouraged to have ACA or ACCA due to the focus on statutory and technical reporting. Technical Knowledge : Strong in accounting and tax, including IFRS, UK GAAP, Corporation Tax, VAT, and PAYE. Group Reporting Experience : Experienced in the year-end Group reporting process, from Audit Committee papers to Annual Report delivery. Analytical Skills : Capable of reviewing and analysing complex technical accounting issues and communicating them effectively to finance and non-finance team members. Relationship Building : Able to form close working relationships with management, understand their requirements, gain their trust, and influence them when necessary. Business Model Understanding : Knowledgeable about the key drivers of the MONY Group business model and the impact of developments or changes. Proactive and Constructive : Proactive behaviours with the ability to offer constructive advice or solutions. Leadership and Motivation : Ability to motivate and lead, with a focus on coaching, development, and fostering a culture of constant process improvement.
