At Holmwood Highgate, we employ over 180 staff, many of whom have been employed for in excess of fifteen years. Our production and workshop facilities are staffed by trained and qualified aluminum welders, boiler makers, hydraulics fitters, spray painters, mechanics, and auto electricians. We also employ apprentices to ensure that we have properly trained staff for the future. Our Engineering Team has over 150 years of bulk liquid tanker and heavy vehicle industry knowledge. Our engineers and craftspeople use the latest 3D modelling and analysis software to develop and optimize our product range.
Responsibilities
* Perform pipework fabrication and welding for bulk fluid tankers
* Possess the ability to assemble intricate components
* Demonstrate competency in the use of workshop plant
* Demonstrate competency in the use of hand tools
* Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret workshop drawings
* Work within the perimeters of Workplace Health and Safety legislation
Working Conditions
* Most work is carried out in a modern, neat workshop
* Some work is carried out in confined spaces
* Some work is conducted outside
* Some work involves working at heights
* Sometimes work is conducted in extreme heat
Physical Requirements
* Be physically fit
* Ability to enter and exit tanks
* Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
* Ability to weld in a static posture for long periods of time
* Ability to use hand tools for long periods of time (e.g., swing a hammer)
* Ability to use percussion tools
* Perform repetitive tasks
* Lift heavy objects on a regular basis
