Groundworkers - HSG47 Title: Groundworker Rate: £25 per hour (40 - 50 hours per week), CIS Duration: 3 months (Possible extension) Start Date: Monday 17th February 2025 Location: Caerphilly, Wales Turner Lovell are looking to recruit a groundworker, with experience working on high voltage projects, within the UK. Our client are a tier one construction contractor and they have recently won several major projects to build energy infrastructure (ranging from 66kV to 400kV) throughout the UK. The individual will have desired experience working with National Grid, SSE and private generation, or large civil construction companies, in both building new substations and extending or refurbishing projects. Job Responsibilities: To work on the civil installation of new build, extension ad upgrades to substations within the UK. Including associated civil works such as: drainage, ducting and trough systems of LV, MV and HV equipment, RC foundations, AIS foundations Perimeter works, such as hard standings, security fences, installation of concrete footpaths, road formation and kerbs. To operate plant equipment (dumpers, rollers, excavators) Receiving NG safety documentation, along with other site documentation to undertake the works (permits, hot works, daily briefing documents) Temp works for deep drainage (pumping stations, manhole chambers, cess tanks, etc)Requirements: National Grid Persons ticket, HSG47 desirable Full driving license 5 years' experience in Civil Engineering, within the UK Ability and experience in working outdoors during all weather & ground conditions.
