Intermediate Mechanical Engineer Birmingham MUST HAVE MINIMUM 2 YEARS EXPEREINCE - POST GRADUATE HB Recruit are looking for an an intermediate mechanical engineer to join an expanding team of specialist engineering consultants providing design consultancy on decarbonisation projects from domestic to utility scale, with a focus on the integration of Heat Pumps and other low carbon technologies. They are regarded as one of the most experienced heat pump system design teams in the UK, they are a team that other organisations turn to when they cannot solve their heat pump system issues. And they have worked on all manner of projects from the largest heat pump system in the UK right down to domestic properties. You will work on and be exposed to all aspects of heat pump system design and learn from the best in the industry. They don’t micromanage and expect you to manage your own projects after a short time with the support and guidance of the Senior and Principal engineers. & : Reporting to senior engineers, the role will involve: Report writing, including technoeconomic studies for use in feasibility studies and project proposals Conducting and presenting research on emerging technologies 2D and 3D CAD modelling using AutoDesk packages Attending sites to identify the potential for new solutions and inspect our designs once installed Development of calculation tools to improve design process efficiency Data and information processing for presentation to senior engineers Contribution to discussions around the general running and direction of the company Requirements: An MEng in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering to a minimum standard of 2:1. 2 years minimum MEP/HVAC The ability to write in a technically sound and coherent manner Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general CAD skills, preferably AutoCAD Self-motivated, eager to learn and the ability to take responsibility for multiple projects simultaneously A passion for sustainability and the environment /: Applicants must have the ability to work and think independently, Any previous experience with heat pumps and/or building services engineering.
