With over 100 members, the Employer Consulting team specialising in varying disciplines such as Pensions, Benefits and Management consulting, as well as Workplace engagement and is a growing business area. We are now looking for a Consultant based in either of our Cheltenham, Bristol or Birmingham offices. The role of a Consultant in the Employer Consulting team of Barnett Waddingham is to provide consultancy services and advice to employers on employee benefit plans. A Consultant will have a general knowledge of a specific area, such as DC pensions, or Wellbeing benefits such as private medical insurance or group risk. In most cases this is an FCA controlled function “CF30” role. The Consultant is required to work in accordance with the firm’s internal procedures and in accordance with FCA and other regulation. A snapshot of your day: Coach and assist in the development of Analysts and Client Support Staff Assist in acquiring new business as required Discuss opportunities with CRMs for client account development Introduce other business streams of Employer Consulting where appropriate Analyse information and suggest appropriate solutions Arrange “beauty parades” of providers Provide clients with information on relevant new and existing products and services Assist clients to make informed decisions In conjunction with the CRM, agree specifications of services, deadlines and remuneration with clients Deliver the agreed services in accordance with agreed time schedules and budget with each allocated client Issue invoices monitoring WIP and income receipts Maintain records in accordance with internal guidelines and procedures Make presentations to groups of employees, to clients; senior management or for marketing purposes – internal and external We would love to hear from you if you have: Consultants will be qualified to CII Diploma or Pensions Management Institute equivalent unless the particular Consultant role excludes regulated work.
