COMMERCIAL OR RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY
POOLE
SALARY NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING UPON EXPERIENCE
Our client, a well-established firm of solicitors based in Poole, is recruiting for an experienced Residential and Commercial Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join their Property department based in the heart of Shoreham.
The Role
1. To provide secretarial support to the property fee earner
2. Screening incoming calls
3. Dealing with new business opportunities to ensure the continued success of the property department
4. Audio typing using digital dictation
5. Diary management, booking rooms, and arranging meetings
6. Using case management system
7. Liaise with clients and solicitors
8. Providing quotations and sending out client care letters
9. Deal with client queries and take instruction from clients
10. Amend and reformat documents
11. Apply for searches using online services including land registry
12. Using HMRC website
13. Deal with post-completion matters
14. Maintain client files, including opening and closing of files
15. Maintain the filing system
16. Assist fee earners in the maintenance of client accounts
Experience required:
1. At least 1 year of recent residential or Conveyancing legal secretarial/Legal Assistant or Paralegal experience
2. Fast and accurate audio typing skills, including digital dictation
3. Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, Excel
4. Able to prioritise and multitask
5. Excellent telephone manner
6. Possess the ability to deal with client queries when fee earners are out of the office
