B5 Scrub nurse to scrub for all specialities in the Emergency theatre and the new procedure room. This job is full time 37.5 hrs per week.
Applicants will be expected to work some night duties and weekends.
Main duties of the job
Scubing for all specialities.
Running in the theatre.
Working night duties.
Responsible for the assessment of care needs, planning, delivering and evaluating a high standard of nursing/practitioner care.
Contributing to the safe and efficient running of the operating theatre department, through the acceptance of agreed additional responsibilities.
An accomplished communicator able to contribute, implement and evaluate clinical and professional standards.
Initiating and developing evidence based practice ensuring all staff are aware of current issues and changes.
Ensuring the administration and documentation of drugs is in accordance with Trust policy
