Volt is immediately hiring Manufacturing Technician (Londonderry, NH)
As a Manufacturing Technician you will be:
* Responsible for assembling, aligning, and testing systems, components, and subassemblies following specified work instructions and procedures to ensure finished product meets established operational and cosmetic requirements.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Working knowledge of electronic, optical, and mechanical assemblies
* Perform basic computer activities with programs provided
* Identify, utilize, and perform preventive maintenance on tools and test equipment.
* Demonstrate comprehension of engineering prints and schematics.
* Report deviations from standard to appropriate resource for review, instruction, and authorization and obtain quality inspection when appropriate
* Support Lean manufacturing efforts through continuous process improvement
* Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures
* Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
* Apply considerable math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
* Cultivate a culture that assures effective cross-functional teamwork
* Perform job duties in a manner that complies with environmental, health, and safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
* Requires minimal job knowledge/skills.
* Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years of prior related experience
Qualifications:
* LabView program experience
* Demonstrated proficiency at operating 25%-50% of workstations as documented by training records
This is a 12 Month full-time Contract or Contract to hire opportunity.
Pay Range: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
