Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality, person-centered care, and we are looking for a proactive HR & Compliance Officer to support our human resources function and ensure CQC compliance.
Role Overview:
As a Part-Time HR & Compliance Officer, you will play a vital role in managing HR processes and supporting CQC compliance within our supported living service. You will ensure the smooth running of administrative HR processes related to recruitment, employee records, and compliance while also overseeing key aspects of regulatory requirements to maintain quality standards in our service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with the end-to-end recruitment process, including advertising vacancies, shortlisting candidates, arranging interviews, and preparing offer letters.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with GDPR and confidentiality policies.
* Support the onboarding and induction process for new employees, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and recorded.
* Assist with processing DBS checks, right-to-work checks, and references.
* Manage HR systems and databases, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
* Assist with employee relations by providing administrative support for meetings, note-taking, and maintaining records of discussions.
* Monitor and update employee training records, ensuring compliance with mandatory training requirements.
* Support the administration of employee benefits, absences, and leave requests.
* Respond to HR-related queries, escalating more complex matters to senior HR staff as needed.
* Assist with updating HR policies and procedures to align with current legislation and best practices.
* Ensure compliance with CQC regulations by maintaining up-to-date records.
* Organize and manage training programs to ensure staff meet regulatory and best practice requirements.
* Ensure all staff supervisions and appraisals are scheduled and recorded in line with company policies.
* Oversee property compliance records, ensuring regular checks and safety requirements are met.
* Assist with ensuring audits, inspections, and action plans are completed within the required timescales.
Key Requirements:
* Previous experience in an HR administrative role, preferably within the care or supported living sector.
* Knowledge of HR processes, employment law, and GDPR compliance.
* Understanding of CQC compliance requirements and experience supporting regulatory adherence.
* Strong administrative and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HR software (desirable).
* Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A proactive and problem-solving approach to work.
