Temporary Student Supervision Monitor
Location: Coe Hill School, Coe Hill, ON
Schedule: 4.5 Hours per week
Salary: $22.65 to $26.58 per hour (compensation also includes a comprehensive benefits package including extended health and dental, life insurance, health care spending account, participation in the OMERS pension plan, competitive vacation and sick leave, and maternity/parental leave top-up, depending on eligibility)
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Student Supervision Monitor performs duties as assigned by the supervisor to support student achievement such as monitoring attendance, assigning students to study hall, maintaining records, and supervising students. Liaise with staff, administration, students and parents to support student attendance, behaviour, learning and achievement as required.
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful applicant must possess a level of education and knowledge equivalent to a high school diploma plus successful completion of additional short courses for behaviour management and conflict resolution skills, and clerical skills. Over three months of related experience working with children, preferably in a school setting, is required. Applicant must have the ability to communicate clearly with staff and students; possess good computer and effective conflict resolution skills; and have the ability to perform the responsibilities outlined above which may include outdoor supervision.
