Senior Oracle Engineer
Location: Cardiff
Hybrid / Flexible Working
Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on experience + up to 20% annual bonus
About Us:
Founded in 2018, LDMS is part of the LC Financial Holdings group, a 4-pillar organisation with over 2,000 employees across Europe. We have a track record of providing world-class credit expertise spanning over 20 years.
We are a Fintech company focused on digital lending software, a market growing around 18% per year and set to be worth $27 billion by 2028. To achieve our goal of being a leader in this space, we need a team that can not only write quality code but also think creatively and challenge others to develop the best solutions for our customers.
The Role:
At LDMS, teamwork is key. We work in small agile teams focused on the frequent delivery of valued features and improvements to our customers and stakeholders. Requirements for these features typically originate from parent business functions to support changes to existing account portfolios or from migration projects for onboarding new external clients. We also address issues raised by our Service Delivery team.
As an experienced Oracle Engineer, you will collaborate with multifunctional teams to develop, deliver, and support bespoke financial systems for high-profile clients across EMEA. You will uphold engineering best practices and quality standards.
We integrate modern, proven technology and leverage automation to ensure we can deliver great products without unexpected surprises. We embrace the DevOps paradigm by engineering, designing, building, testing, releasing, and providing ongoing support for our own code, ensuring end-to-end ownership and seamless collaboration across all stages of the development lifecycle.
This role requires a Senior Oracle Engineer with demonstrable experience and proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL. You should be capable of creating and tuning complex SQL statements, as well as analyzing and modeling data structures.
You will support the refinement and clarification of user stories and make well-reasoned design decisions. When tasks are large, you can scope them down into smaller, actionable parts, allowing the team to accurately manage and estimate work and deliver complex features.
You should adjust well to shifting priorities when necessary, supporting your peers through pairing, code reviews, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring/coaching as appropriate.
While we value specific skills, we also understand that your background may not perfectly align with the listed requirements. We believe in continuous development and improvement, supporting you in seeking ways to enhance your skills while helping others improve theirs.
