1:1 Learning Support Assistants and Learning Mentors in Leeds
A Secondary school in Leeds is looking for learning support assistants and learning mentors to work within their school on a day-to-day, short-term, and long-term basis. The school requires extra staff due to increased student referrals, necessitating additional support for 1:1 and general classroom help.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support pupils out of the classroom with pastoral and personal development.
2. Manage the behaviour of pupils sent out of class, freeing up other TAs.
3. Patrol the school and work with pupils not in class for various reasons.
Required Skills & Experience:
1. Previous experience working with teenagers.
2. Strong behaviour management skills.
3. Team player attitude with a positive and flexible approach to work.
4. Experience within an SEMH school or setting.
