What skills and experience we're looking for
Finance Administrator, based at one of our Exeter or Torquay Schools
St Christopher’s Trust are looking for an individual to join the centralised Finance Administration team, supporting our 21 schools with ordering and accurate financial recording, essential to the smooth running of each of our schools and the Trust.
Keeping our Christian values at the heart of everything you do, you’ll work as part of our Finance Team and will be based from either one of our local Exeter or Torquay schools; take a look at the ‘Our Academies’ section on our website to find out where these are located.
You’ll be organised with a keen eye for detail. Your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks including processing and placing orders, processing invoices, processing staff expense claims and credit card transactions, posting of weekly bank transactions, processing weekly payment runs, reconciling monthly supplier statements, supporting the preparation of year end files, plus many other tasks.
You’ll be motivated by working in an administrative role, problem solving and using IT systems. You’ll be happy to work independently whilst following processes and checklists, and also as part of a wider Finance team.
Applicants must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with people in different schools/offices. You will be supported by the wider finance team and as a Trust we are committed to developing our staff and can show clear lines of progression if desired by the applicant. Whilst experience of undertaking bookkeeping and using financial software packages would be an advantage, it is not necessary as full training and support will be provided.
