Job Purpose:
Accountable to the Customs Supervisor for the day to day running of the customs team ensuring procedures are followed. Ensure the department remains profitable and focused.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage your own time to best efficiency for the business.
2. Monitor the systems and process throughout the department & inform Customs Supervisor of any ideas for change.
3. Ensure all entries, imports and exports, are done within a timely manner – 24 hours of receipt of documents for imports and before the container has loaded for exports.
4. Report any issues to the Customs Supervisor if they cannot be dealt with by yourself or will take an extended amount of time to complete.
5. Ensure procedures are followed at all times.
6. Make sure company standards are followed, and the customer experience is a positive one.
7. Demonstrate & generate enthusiasm.
8. Interpersonally effective.

10. Develop trust and respect from colleagues across the organisation.
11. Identify problems early & respond in a timely fashion.

External Relationships:
Monitor supplier performance, ensuring a high level of service at all times & advise Customs Supervisor of any issues.
Strategic Responsibilities:
Together with the management team work towards continued improvement of systems, processes and development of the Department.
