RC336 - Innovate UK Relationship Manager
Location: London or Milton Keynes (minimum of two days a week in the office. You can do more than two days if preferable)

Working hours: Full time (9 day Fortnight companywide)

Band: 3.3
Salary: £63,000 to £69,000 (Dependent on office location and proven ability)

The Role
Responsible for developing and managing strong relationships with key individuals within Innovate UK to foster collaborative working and identify opportunities to align shared objectives and extend the reach of our respective activities. You will be responsible for comprehensive quarterly reporting and governance to provide assurance on progress against our annual Grant Work Programme and Key Performance Indicators whilst demonstrating a clear return on investment from the funding that the Catapult receives.
Key Responsibilities
* Day to day relationship holder with key stakeholders at Innovate UK and the Network Office
* Central oversight of the relationship, mapping key individuals the Catapult should be engaging with at Innovate UK and tracking interactions from within the Business Units - bringing together a coherent engagement overview and ‘connecting' conversations where required
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within Innovate UK, acting as a conduit for colleagues internally to engage as appropriate on strategic shared objectives and initiatives
* Responsible for the Grant Funding Agreement reporting requirements to Innovate UK, the Senior Leadership Team and Board on a monthly and quarterly basis drawing together inputs from the respective Business Units, Monitoring and Evaluation Team, Marketing and Comms, and Finance - providing insights, analysis and trends
* Track performance against Key Performance Indicators and Metrics working with the respective teams to understand where interventions or mitigations are required to achieve targets
* Lead on activities to support the business case for the renewal of funding and annual refresh of the Grant Work Programme and Outputs & Outcomes Proposal working alongside the Strategy and Business Planning team
* Identify emerging opportunities for further collaboration, working with colleagues in the Business Units to develop proposals for additional funding where appropriate
* Gather and synthesis intelligence to inform the prioritisation of Core Grant on an annual basis, providing recommendations for how the Catapult could maximise the benefits (impact) from investment of Core Grant
* Act as a conduit for sharing knowledge and lessons learned across the Account, encouraging openness and transparency across the Core Grant funded projects and activities that the Catapult delivers on behalf of Innovate UK
* Ensure an ethos of equity, inclusivity and diversity underpin your work activity, contribute to inclusive innovation across all Catapult activities.
* You may be required to undertake any other reasonable duties to support the Catapult in achieving its strategic outcomes and ensure effective business operations.
Requirements
Required skills and experience
* Proven experience of Account or Portfolio Management experience for grant funded projects or activities
* Proven experience of working with Monitoring and Evaluation Frameworks and tracking the benefits (impact) realised from projects and activities delivered
* Excellent facilitation, communication and presentation skills with the ability to produce reports, briefs, analysis, etc to influence stakeholders and decision makers
* Ability to successfully develop collaborative working relationships externally and across the business working with colleagues with diverse skills and backgrounds
* Strong attention to detail and ability to support and compliance
* Demonstrable experience of translating and summarising complex information into short, sharp briefs with the ability to explain complex issues in a way that is easy to understand, taking into account people's individual needs
* Demonstrable experience of producing accurate and influential written documents in a variety of styles to a high standard.
* Confident in working closely with senior level individuals internally and externally, with an ability to persuade and motivate people and teams at all levels.
* Proactive, self-motivated and ability to work without supervision.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and other office productivity tools, with aptitude to learn new software and systems and advocate to encourage adoption across the Catapult.
