Risk Assessor (Water Hygiene)

A leading water treatment company is seeking a skilled and experienced Risk Assessor to join their expanding team. This role offers a great opportunity for a professional with expertise in water hygiene and compliance to make a significant impact by conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
About the Role
The Risk Assessor will primarily operate within the corridor between London and Birmingham, with occasional travel beyond this area. The role requires a detail-oriented individual capable of identifying and evaluating risks, providing recommendations for improvements, and ensuring full compliance with L8 and other relevant regulations.
Key Skills and Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of domestic and commercial water systems to ensure compliance with current legislation, including ACOP L8 and HSG274.
Develop detailed reports with clear recommendations for remediation where necessary.
Carry out site surveys to assess water system risks, including Legionella control and general system hygiene.
Maintain strong knowledge of water hygiene systems, including temperature control, TMV management, and other remedial works.
Liaise effectively with clients to explain findings and recommendations, providing expert advice as needed.
Collaborate with the wider team to ensure client satisfaction and compliance with contract requirements.
Requirements
Proven experience in water hygiene risk assessments, ideally within a professional water treatment company.
Strong knowledge of L8 and associated guidance documents.
Experience in diagnosing non-compliant water systems and advising on corrective measures.
Ideally experience within NHS contracts or a similar commercial background.
Experience within cooling tower assessments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to produce detailed reports and liaise with clients.
Self-motivated, organised, and capable of managing workloads independently.
Full UK driving licence, as travel is essential.
