Vehicle Repair Technician - Bodywork (Late Shift)
* This is a permanent position based at Bracknell, working Monday - Friday, 14:00 - 22:00.
* The maximum salary offered including shift premium for this role, depending on experience, is up to £50,575 for 37.5 hours per week with On Target Earnings (OTE) of £58,000+. This is equivalent to £25.93 per hour, inclusive of shift premium.
* Overtime is featured but not guaranteed.
About the role
Based at our site in Bracknell, our Technician Team ensures our fleet of Partnership Vehicles remain well maintained and road-worthy. As a Panel Beater within the team, you'll be working on a wide variety of vehicles from our 3.5 Tonne Home Delivery Vans right through to Trailers and HGVs. It will be your job to repair any damage to the vehicles and you should have a good understanding of how to carry out repairs to metal, plastic and fibreglass components as well as carrying out routine maintenance and modifications in line with the manufacturers specifications.
Typical duties of a Panel Beater within our workshop
* Panel Straightening and Filling
* Replacement of Panels
* Welding and Bonding
* Repairs to Fibreglass and plastic panels
* Livery application (Training provided)
* Maintenance repairs to Trailer shutters and tail lifts (Training provided)
Essential skills you'll need:
* City and Guilds 1,2,3 Vehicle Body Repair or NVQ/QVS equivalent qualification
* Full UK driving licence
* A proven background in all aspects of panel beating, filling, fibreglassing, pin pulling, steel and aluminium MIG welding
* A knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and road-worthiness
