Job Description
Role Overview
As a Senior Accountant within our global Finance team you will play a critical role overseeing the accounting for your respective entities. Compliance, accounting accuracy and continuous improvements will be your focus areas.
To succeed in this role you need to be a highly motivated person used to working in a fast-paced global environment. You will report directly to our Director of Accounting in the UK.
What You Will Do
1. Timely and accurate month-end closing for the entities within your responsibility, including accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset accounting.
2. Monthly payroll accounting and working closely with our payroll team to support on accounting matters.
3. Close collaboration with AR, AP, treasury and tax to ensure accounting accuracy ahead of the month end close.
4. Ensure accurate Tax and VAT reporting together with our Tax Team.
5. Own and coordinate the audit and annual statutory filings for your entities, working with external consultants where applicable.
6. Conduct monthly intercompany reconciliations, enforcing controls and best practices per group rules and intercompany policy.
7. Perform full balance sheet controls and reconciliations, ensuring ownership and communication across teams who all have input.
Qualifications
What We Are Looking For
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2. Part qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent preferable
3. Proven finance professional with management and statutory accounting experience who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
4. Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet tight deadlines
5. Confident and effective communicator, capable of building relationships and presenting financial information clearly and concisely
6. Proficiency in finance systems - Netsuite a clear advantage - and Excel, with the ability to interpret and present financial data
7. Ability to speak and read German would be an advantage
