Provide consultant medical services to patients admitted to the Rheumatology and GIM ward and supervise junior doctors involved in the care of these patients.

To provide Rheumatology services for the trust which includes delivering outpatient clinics, supporting specialist nurses, supporting the day unit, and seeing inpatient referrals.
Provide with the other Consultants a system of mutual out-of-hours cover for Acute and General Internal Medicine and cover for annual, study, and professional leave.

Education and Qualifications
1. Essential criteria
* MBBS or Basic Medical Degree
* MRCP or equivalent
* Full GMC registration
Desirable criteria
* MD/PhD
Experience & Knowledge
1. Essential criteria
* Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCT in Rheumatology
* Ability to provide expert clinical opinion across a wide range of problems within General Medicine.
Academic Achievements
1. Essential criteria
* Ability to use research outcomes in clinical practice
* Experience of conducting clinical audit
