We are looking for a Compound Team Leader to join our team, Based in Port of Sheerness, Kent.

The Onsite Team will consist of 1x Compound Manager and 2x supervisors and upto 5 Team Leaders. You will be responsible for team leading a team of 10 Yard Operatives based at our clients’ large and very busy vehicle storage facility.
As one of the compound Team Leader you will be an integral part of the Igloo team, playing a pivotal role in managing, and improving compound management activities.
The role is divided into the following main areas of responsibility:
1. Induction and site familiarization of new team member
2. Provide motivation, guidance, and support to team members during the working day.
3. Ensure efficiency of team and safe working practices.
4. Following the processes of damage reduction and ensuring your team do the same
5. Monitoring & maintaining vehicle parking standards.
6. To be apart of the Management Team Question Meetings with the yard team, Then ensuring your team
follow the instruction given by the Compound supervisor or Manager.
7. To carry out the daily compound tasks given to you by the compound supervisor,
8. To give regular updates to the compound supervisor about the working day, Updates on your teams progress throughout the day
9. Reporting any issues that arise to the compound supervisor
10. To support the compound supervisor/ Manager problem solving within the compound of any issues that arise.
11. To be trained in the banksman role, and cover the banksman role as and when needed
The ideal candidate
12. Would have previous experience in a team leading or supervisory position
13. Will be confident in giving colleagues instructions to follow and ensuring that all targets are met
14. Will be self motivated
15. Will have the drive to motivate others
16. Will be a good problem solver,
17. Will hold a full Cat B license, and have experience driving Manual, automatic, and semi automatic vehicles
