Hays are working with a dynamic and expanding special school for pupils in the Swindon. With over 300 pupils, ranging from 5-19 years of age. All students have moderate or severe learning difficulties and social communication difficulties. Some have autism, ADHD or other more complex needs.In this post you will be covering a timetable where students are working at around 4 years below. Subjects you will be expected to teach consist of English, Maths, Science, and project work to include Humanities; and other NC subjects. The job description in the application pack will detail your role in full, but briefly, some of the key fields you will be responsible for include:
1. To prepare and deliver lessons that engage and enthuse the students to develop a love for learning
2. To prepare lessons that are practical and creative.
3. To be able to teach students life skills i.e., how to read a bus timetable? How to make a hot drink?
4. To have the ability to use ICT effectively to support teaching and learning
