Key Responsibilities
1. Accountable for the performance and results of the Purchasing and Procurement functions as well as sharing responsibilities for negotiating and managing CDW suppliers.
2. Provide leadership to managers and coworkers, developing departments and/or team plans and aligning to organizational priorities.
3. Lead through influence, motivate through passion, and work with coworkers, customers, and suppliers at all levels to drive commercial viability.
4. Manage departmental strategy and activity, ensuring optimal team/supplier performance and developing a strategy to operate in line with business objectives.
5. Set priorities and allocate resources to align with CDW objectives and annual plan.
6. Apply knowledge of key business drivers to maximize team and/or area performance.
7. Make decisions guided by departmental function and organizational objectives to create business plans supporting funding of projects, products, services, and/or technologies.
8. Identify and solve non-standard operational and business challenges while leveraging appropriate resources for resolution.
9. Actively seek ways to improve the customer experience across all business units, making recommendations and providing support where possible.
10. Take ownership of issues across any business unit and see through to resolution, escalating when required.
11. Work closely with department leads to ensure harmony between departments and foster a culture of collaboration.
12. Ensure the best interest of the business is at the forefront of decision-making.
13. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
14. Provide expert advice and guidance on legislation and regulations relevant to the department.
15. Share responsibility for maintaining our EDI procurement and inventory ordering/management platforms.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
1. Experience leading multiple teams across geographical locations.
2. Experience leading large teams in diverse roles.
3. Previous procurement experience within an IT reseller is an advantage.
4. Business or Leadership qualifications at degree or master's level are an advantage.
5. Commercial understanding of IT purchasing.
6. CIPS/Supply Chain qualification is an advantage.
7. A track record in management in a fast-moving environment.
