Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with experienced engineers to design and develop LV & MV switchgear for DC and AC applications. Create detailed engineering and manufacturing drawings. Conduct 3D design analysis for existing and proposed products. Manage projects effectively and work independently on assigned tasks. Engage with clients and industry professionals to deliver high-quality manufactured products and original designs. Participate in hands-on prototype building and testing. Work across various divisions within the company to support the global manufacturing and application of products. Experience & Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of industrial experience. HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent qualification). Proficiency in CAD 3D modeling software. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Logical and methodical approach to problem-solving with thorough documentation skills. Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Teams, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Desirable Skills: Background in the design, manufacture, or maintenance of electromechanical systems. Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modeling and simulation software. Experience using ANSYS Maxwell or similar simulation tools. Familiarity with CFD software. BEng in Mechanical Engineering (IMechEng approved) with a 2:2 or above. Experience within the switchgear industry. Understanding of electrical systems, including design, maintenance, or manufacturing aspects.
