Join to apply for the Volunteer Event Decorator | ROMILDAMOR Foundation role at ROMILDAMOR Foundation.
We are looking for a talented volunteer event decorator to help create a calming, empowering space for our wellbeing event on 7th March, supporting survivors of human trafficking.
What difference will you make?
Your contribution as a volunteer event decorator will have a significant and lasting impact on the survivors of human trafficking attending our wellbeing event. The space you help create will directly affect how attendees experience the event and engage with the support available to them. By designing a calm, welcoming, and empowering environment, you will help survivors feel safe, valued, and supported as they embark on their healing journey. Your work will play a crucial role in setting the tone for the day, fostering an atmosphere of peace and connection where attendees can fully benefit from the wellness activities and share their experiences with others. Your creative input will also contribute to the overall mission of the ROMILDAMOR Foundation to provide trauma-informed, community-centered care.
What are we looking for?
1. Proven experience in event decoration, management or design, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
2. Ability to create calming, welcoming, and empowering spaces.
3. Strong attention to detail and ability to execute designs to a high standard.
4. Creative and thoughtful approach to design, especially in a sensitive environment.
5. Ability to collaborate effectively with the event team and work within a timeline.
6. Good organisational and time-management skills.
7. Ability to work independently while following the event's overall vision.
8. Experience in creating spaces for wellness or community events is a plus.
What will you be doing?
The decorator will be responsible for designing and executing the decor setup for the event, including stage decorations, seating arrangements, floral displays, and other decor elements. The primary objective is to transform the event space into a welcoming, peaceful, and healing environment that promotes wellbeing and connection among survivors. The volunteer will work closely with the event coordinator to align the decor with the theme of empowerment and support. You will be expected to arrive 1-2 hours before the event to assist with setting up the venue, ensuring all decorations are in place prior to the event. After the event concludes, you will help break down the decor and ensure the venue is left in good condition. Materials and supplies for the event will be covered by the foundation, and the volunteer will have the opportunity to showcase their work in a meaningful and supportive setting.
