As Category Manager you will develop and implement the procurement strategies for our Direct and Indirect spend, excluding IT.
You will help support and take us from where we are now to a preferred, cost-effective and value add supplier list that is fit for purpose.
Our business has grown from 80 to 800 employees over the past 6 years, our fibre network footprint has expanded across England and our customer numbers continue to grow 50%+ year on year.
Our direct and indirect spend has grown too, as has our supplier list. As we mature a recent restructure has resulted in this new role being created to help rationalise that supplier list.
The role will involve working with the business to understand procurement needs, market analysis, negotiating contracts with vendors and managing supplier relationships, as well as working closely with our stores to ensure back orders are managed.
We therefore require similar previous procurement experience where you have driven savings.
An understanding of materials and suppliers in the Telco / Fibre industry would be advantageous.
