The ideal candidate will have experience in processing subcontractor invoices, handling payment runs, and managing communications with contractors. You will play a key role in ensuring that financial operations related to subcontractors and self-employed contractors are handled efficiently, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. Main Duties & Responsibilities for the Finance Administrator Invoice Processing: Ensure that all subcontractor and agency invoices are processed accurately and in line with approval limits. VAT Management: Accurately record VAT treatment on all relevant transactions. Reconciliation: Carry out subcontractor statement and account reconciliations to ensure all data is correct. Payment Runs: Manage the payment run process, ensuring all payments are made on time. Communication: Respond promptly to emails and written communications from subcontractors within agreed timescales. Administration: Maintain the spend tracker and ensure all documentation is up-to-date. Reporting: Assist in generating reports for KPI analysis and attend regular finance meetings. Key Skills & Requirements for the Finance Administrator Professionalism: Demonstrate a professional attitude, taking ownership and responsibility in all tasks. Subcontractor Ledger Experience: Previous experience with subcontractor ledgers and knowledge of VAT requirements is essential. Time Management: Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage workloads to meet tight deadlines. Methodical Approach: A detail-oriented and systematic approach to tasks, ensuring accuracy under pressure. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including senior members of the organisation.
