We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a fantastic primary school in Colchester. This is a full-time position starting in January 2025, with the exciting possibility of transitioning to a permanent role.
Your Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
* Work 1:1 with a child who has special educational needs, providing tailored support to enhance their learning experience.
* Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted interventions and adapt lessons to meet the child's unique needs.
* Encourage independence, self-confidence, and a love for learning in the child.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.
* Be a champion of creativity and play, making learning fun and engaging!
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children with SEN (previous school experience preferred but not essential).
* A compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic attitude.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to adapt.
* Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
