MVS currently has 3 scale sites, Bruntingthorpe, Wyton and Coventry. The Bruntingthorpe is our largest at over 600 acres.Scope of Role: The Bodyshop Manager is responsible for the management of the lifecycle for customer vehicles, throughout the vehicle refurbishment process, making sure the work is carried out in a timely and efficient manner and to the highest of standards, maximising utilisation and resource and expertise across the site. The role will include discussing with customers production volume targets and aged vehicle targets, setting their expectations on both, and ensuring vehicles complete the refurbishment journey within the customers quality standards. You will have proven experience in vehicle refurbishment, people management and the management of client relationships. To be successful you must be a motivated individual who can motivate Team Members to achieve workshop Productivity and efficiency.Objectives for Role: Effectively lead the team in ensuring that the department achieves its goals and customer satisfaction. Deal promptly with any people issues within the team, liaising with the HR Business Partner for any complex cases. Ensure all branded stock at every operation is being processed as per the customer’s agreed SLA. Reviewing the stock position and support the relevant managers on work priority (Brand, days since authorisation, days on site, etc) Review the daily panel count / AFS performance (Actual against target) and support the work priority. Supporting our rental partners to ensure a seamless authorisation / upgrade process, in line with our customers SLA’s. To be the main point of contact for the relevant sub-contractor whilst managing the daily production targets through the shops. Leading operations meetings based on performance and generating actions to improve / catch back. Ensuring the quality of vehicles are always within standard, with the support of the functional manager. Presenting weekly ‘contract’ performance reports to the HOD and General Manager and if applicable to the accounts team. Find ways to increase capacity in terms of continuous improvement (Cycle times etc). Maintain productivity within the workshop, ensuring efficiency in line with customer requirements. This will include effective liaison with other onsite departments to ensure production numbers are achieved. Develop and improve systems and processes to increase efficiency and output. Ensure all work carried out is in accordance with contract standards and manufacturer guidelines. Ensure compliance with Cox Automotive environmental policies and Cox safe ways of working. Monitor workmanship on vehicles to the highest standards. Act as the conduit between the business and customer, attending client meetings as and when required. Actively work with the People team on driving engagement within the department in addition to attracting and maintaining talent and challenging poor performance and conduct. Skills, Knowledge and Experience: High level of technical knowledge gained through time served within respective area of expertise. Knowledge of Bodyshop repair methods. Experience in manging sub-contractors Experience of working within a large-scale automotive environment. You will have a strong focus on achievement and delivery with a creative and pragmatic approach to problem solving. You will have excellent leadership skills, the ability to motivate, engage and develop a diverse team in a complex environment. Familiarity with Microsoft office programs including Excel and Outlook. Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety practices and procedures Effective communication skills, oral, written, presentation, influencing and negotiations. Good organisational skills including the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines and to work on several projects at the same time. Reliable and accountable, with an agile approach to work, that ensures deliverables are met within defined timescales. The ability to build robust relationships with customers, working as a partnership deliver on targets. Strong reporting skills, ensuring that the business continues to report on delivery targets in line with the contract terms.
