As part of the Family Hub and Start for Life programme development, Durham County Council are recruiting to an exciting post that will be a key part of the ongoing development the Family Hub offer. This role is temporary until 31st March 2026. WHAT IS INVOLVED? The Family Hub Engagement and Participation Lead will be responsible for supporting and facilitating our Parent and Carer Panel and ensure that Parents and Carers voice is heard and central throughout the service co-design, delivery, and evaluation. The Parent Carer Panel is Durham has recognised as good practice since it was established in 2023, and we are looking for someone to build on this work and continue the development of the Parent Carers Panel. Family Hubs will provide a universal ‘front door’ to families, offering a ‘one-stop shop’ of family support services across their social care, education, mental health and physical health needs, with a comprehensive Start for Life offer for parents and babies at its core. Essential qualifications for this post are: Level 3 qualification in a relevant children’s services field. Evidence of continuous professional development. You will also need Substantial experience of working directly with children and young people, and families, building effective relationships, and securing improved outcomes.
