Our Client is an award–winning engineering design consultancy.
Operating as independent building services design consultants with over 75 years of experience, they proudly specialise in the design of innovative mechanical, electrical and public health services. The business is dedicated to helping customers achieve their operational Net Zero Carbon targets, by applying expert knowledge and using the latest design technologies and methods to create the most energy-efficient MEP services.
As one of the UK’s largest Building Services Consultants, the company operates from four regional offices and relies upon experienced teams of engineers and designers from different specialities, to offer a wealth of technical know-how. These dedicated teams include sector experts for retail, leisure, education, commercial, residential, healthcare and industrial to name but a few.
The Harrogate office has long been established and the practice holds very close links to the region’s health authorities and NHS trusts. A team of circa 12 M&E Engineers works closely and collaboratively on a range of complex schemes, many in live environments, providing a technical challenge and the opportunity to develop key industry knowledge. As the team evolves and natural growth opens up opportunity, a Mechanical Engineer operating at Intermediate level is now sought after to complete the team.
Role Requirements
The Mechanical Engineer could happily come from either side of the Intermediate spectrum:
1. HNC/HND qualified with 2-3 years experience and looking for further exposure to HVAC system design
2. Degree/Masters qualified, comfortably managing own schemes and looking for a route through to Senior Engineer and CEng status.
Whilst health care experience would be welcomed, particular discipline or sector specialist knowledge is not seen as a high priority, with the main focus on securing the services of a Mechanical Building Services Engineer with adequate qualifications, strong technical knowledge and a pleasant client facing demeanour. Interested parties must be a “team player”, open to new ideas and ready to embrace industry changes.
Applications are invited from appropriately qualified and self-motivated Mechanical Building Services Design Engineers, who are passionate about a career in M&E Consulting and energy reduction.
