SECURITY CLEARANCE: Involves working within the UK Defence industry, requiring the applicants to be UK Nationals Only (No Dual Nationals) and able to be security cleared to a UK Eyes Only SC level.
TRAVEL REQUIRED: Occasional travel within the UK and internationally.
LOCATION: Site Based Mon-Fri - Newport, South Wales (relocation packages offered).
TYPE: Full time / Part time / STEM returner.

Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will be working as part of a team responsible for executing allocated Test & Production Work Packages within the agreed cost, time, and quality constraints.
This role has been created due to an expansion of the business and an increase in the workload in the production area. In addition to the duties outlined below, you will be asked to help train the technician and assist the Production Test Engineers with their tasks as workload dictates.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
* Build, test and repair complex low volume communication products, following existing assembly and test procedures.
* Maintain product assembly and test capability by identifying potential process improvements and contributing to their implementation.
* Responsible for demonstrating that the developed product meets all specified requirements to the documentation provided for the product.
* Coordinate and lead the necessary activities to ensure that products are built, repaired and tested.
* Coordinate DFM with the development team.
* Assist in fault diagnosis of products that fail in the process or at test.
ABOUT YOU
* Experience of low volume high complexity manufacturing in electro/Mechanical assemblies.
* Experience of continuous improvements on complex SMT technology PCBA’s and Box build products.
* Experience of electro mechanical assemblies.
* Experience writing work instructions for both mechanical and electrical/electronic assemblies.
* Knowledge of IPC Soldering Standards.
