This is an exciting role for someone to represent the voice of the channel and customer in developing the category strategy for PepsiCo's Savory Snacks Portfolio. You will lead a direct team of 3 to execute the multi-year vision that you have created, which grows the savory snacks category for the OT and Impulse customers.
Responsibilities
* Works closely with the DX, Insights, NRM & Marketing teams to develop a coherent category strategy (3-year horizon) for the OT & Impulse channels.
* Where relevant, owns the category development conversations with PepsiCo’s priority customers to ensure that the ‘strategy flows through to the omni-channel shelf’.
* Leads the ‘Store of the Future’ thinking & owns the external Category Growth Story.
* Outlines the levers & drivers for growth (both short & long-term), as well as the role of PepsiCo’s brands to deliver a ‘triple win’ (shopper, customer & supplier).
* Uses data-driven insights to recommend the optimal portfolio & channel assortment.
* Socializes the category strategy across a broad set of stakeholders to influence the annual & strategic plans.
* Creates the multi-year vision that delivers for PepsiCo while growing the savory snacks category for the OT & Impulse customers.
* Leads a direct team of 3 FTEs to execute the multi-year vision (indirectly with the Category Management & Commercial teams).
* Talks confidently about the latest consumer & shopper trends, the missions & occasions, the segments & price-tiers & how PepsiCo’s products are purchased & consumed.
* Stays up to date on the ever-changing competitor landscape.
Qualifications
* Significant experience working within FMCG (preferably DX or Strategy roles).
* Practical experience of category-first or ‘triple-win’ thinking is a must.
* Recognized project or change management qualifications are an advantage.
* Has strong business acumen (across Commercial, Finance & Operations).
* Demonstrates ‘end-to-end’ thinking & thought-leadership.
* Presents complex information & recommendations in a simplified, yet compelling manner.
* Clearly articulates the business impact.
* Works well with others & can lead cross-functional teams to deliver new initiatives.
