Salary: £19,995 to £20,998 per annum (pro rata for part time and calculated to term Time Only)
Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only (plus 5 cleaning days, 39 weeks a year) Monday to Friday 8:00am to 2:15pm
Working Pattern: Part-time (30 hours per week)
Location: Herons Dale Primary School, Hawkins Cres, Shoreham-by-Sea BN43 6TN

What is term time only working? A term time only contract is for our staff who are employed to work only during periods when schools are open. Your pay is calculated on an annual basis and then you are paid over twelve equal monthly instalments.
The Opportunity
If you're eager to use your exceptional communication skills to empower pupils with essential life skills and you have a talent for preparing healthy and nutritious food, then you'll be in good company in the Catering team!
This exciting opportunity requires you to be responsible for the smooth operation of the kitchen, including preparation, cooking, and cleaning to the required standards, ensuring hygiene and safety measure are maintained.
You will manage the service and lead a team to provide healthy and freshly produced school meals for pupils and staff. Plus, additional meetings, training days or additional activities which may require catering requirements.

About You
We're looking for someone who has experience of working in the catering industry. Alongside this, you will provide strong leadership, mentor and train catering assistants, supporting their learning and development.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, flexible team player who can demonstrate a proven ability to achieve budget targets whilst providing a high-quality catering service.
You will be comfortable organising your own workload and a keen problem solver who responds to unanticipated problems and making effective service decisions.
