WhatYou ll BeDoing
* Youwill be working on a varied portfolio of projects both in the UKandInternationally.
* Providingtechnical advice to clients on the operation ofmechanical/electrical engineering services in existingbuildings
* Preparing FeeProposals
* Deliveringrefurbishment and upgrade projects from inception tocompletion
* Undertakingcondition surveys of mechanical/electrical installations andproducing written reports andrecommendations
* Developing andproducing mechanical designs and specifications ensuring qualityand technical quality standards aremet
* Production ofFeasibility Studies for mechanical/electrical infrastructurereplacement orupgrade
* Technical DueDiligenceReporting
* Ensuring thatall work under their control is undertaken to relevant andapplicable UK and EU regulations design guidesetc.
* Review ofdevelopment and fitout proposals and advising client on theimplications in relation to the mechanical/electricalservices
* Youwill have the opportunity to lead mechanical services design onlarge projects and lead overall MEP on small to medium sizedprojects within theoffice
* Responsible fordealing successfully with Clients and otherprofessionals
* Awareness ofconsultant appointmentconditions
* Define and agreebrief withClient
* Competentlyrepresents our client at projectmeetings
* Manage andprioritise the workload of a project team including specialistgroups
* Host and chairinternal project teammeetings
* Contribute tothe professional development of individual teammembers.
* Actively leadsself and identifies opportunities and providing support for careerdevelopment ofothers
* Ensure qualitystandards and technical accuracy isdelivered.
* Reporting cost and resourcerequirements to the team leader on a regularbasis.
WhatWe Are LookingFor
* Excellenttechnical knowledge in Mechanical Design Engineering thoroughunderstanding of Building Services Engineering andinterdisciplinary design through all stages of the designprocess
* Good experiencein use of standards and codes applied in buildingservices
* Ability toundertake MEP building services surveys with minimalsupervision
* Ability to peerreview in detail with good level of background knowledge ofregulatory / standardsdoentation.
* Acquainted withand can deliver parallel projects of all types sizes and throughvarious RIBAstages
* Canundertake essential calculations maximum demands typical Wm2 andapply mechanicaltheory.
* Atleast some experience working on projects in existingbuildings.
* Experience ofundertaking site inspections and commissioningwitnessing
* Ability todevelop good relationships with Clients Project Managers ManagingAgents andContractors
* Previousconsultancy experience: you will appreciate the importance ofcomplementary specialisms such as acoustics fire engineering andcomputer modelling in the design ofbuildings
* Autonomousapproach: able to lead small to medium sized projects and able totake a brief from the project lead on large projects and deliver& control the tasksrequired
* Responsible forthe quality of ouroutputs
* Appreciation ofclient needs with ability to faceclients
* Ability toidentity when outsourcing is required e.g. design & CADwork
* Understand andidentify resourceneeds
* Mentor andsupervise junior members ofstaff
